A delightful and delicious bit of Bruno

Another delightful.Bruno tale. The Bruno novels can have some serious violence and danger for our intrepid hero, but here we just have the cozy part. And the food! A wonderful bit of love amidst the strawberries of the market. In this story, Kati, a Swiss tourist and Marcel, a widower and vendor in the market are attracted, but Marcel's sister, Nadette is not happy. So Bruno, of course, must resolve the difficulties in his usual quiet but effective way. But really, it's less about that than the food, which is lovingly and temptingly described. All in all, a light and delicious bit of Bruno, and highly recommended.

where we enjoyed the market scene

While not an exciting twisty mystery (both my husband and I have been hooked on Bruno for years), it is lovely to spend some time with Walker's charming characters. It prompted me to go through photos of a trip to the Perigord, where we enjoyed the market scene. Maybe it is time to plan another trip...
