Great book. Very simple

Great book. Very simple, straightforward, and contemporary discussion of HOW TO calculate your zakat. The author did a great job analyzing and understanding the modern financial instruments (such as mutual funds, retirement accounts, pensions, health savings accounts,..) and how to pay zakat on them. He has a unique background in Islamic law, experience in Islamic banking and investments, as well as academic training in financial planning in the USA which gives him a unique perspective that few other scholars have. The only critique that I have of the book is that I would prefer more references, but it is possible that these were left out to simplify the book.

Good book but found few typos

Good book but found few typos!doesn't take tax into account while discussing dividend Zakat. Also, what if a person is saving money to buy a home and not taking loan. Will that money be Zakat eligible!? The book doesn't address this question.
