A quality product for cheap price!!

excellent to have as a reference to help memorize. saves a load of time trying to write the cards yourself. the cardstock is not bad at all. thin, and not double glossy coated or anything, but feel like a thinner sized business card. same dimensions too.

I'm happy with this purchase, and it didn't cost that much. The print was of very good quality, and the terms are quite thorough. as for organization, it's not super organized, but alphabetical. however, mixing and matching cards is the best way to memorize these terms.

About the Author

Eoin Devereux is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Limerick, Ireland. He is the author of Understanding the Media (2nd edition, 2007) and editor of Media Studies: Key Issues and Debates (2007).

Aileen Dillane is an ethnomusicologist based in the Irish World Academy at the University of Limerick, Ireland. She co-edited Morrissey: Fandom, Representations and Identities (2011) with Eoin Devereux and Martin Power. Her areas of research interest include ethnomusicological theory and practice, popular music and culture studies, performance studies, and urban soundscape studies.

Martin Power is Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Recent publications include Morrissey: Fandom, Representations and Identities (2011, co-edited with Eoin Devereux and Aileen Dillane) and Marxist Perspectives on Irish Society (2011, co-edited with Micheal O’Flynn, Odette Clarke and Paul M. Math Modeling without Differential Equations

This book introduces Mathematical Modeling without requiring a background in differential equations. I think it does so effectively, although I agree with the previous reviewer that some of the examples are trivial. If used as part of a college course, the instructor really ought to assign computational projects.

Some of the models presented in the book are very similar, but that is not an issue with the book. It seems like an effective way to get students to figure out on their own how similar models are connected. In later chapters, function families are introduced that show how the behavior of interest can be analyzed more generally. Working with pencil and eraser, I prefer easy models. In practical applications, it's all going to be done by a computer anyway.

There are other Mathematical Modeling books that will be more challenging. However, introducing these concepts in ways that require differential equations and linear algebra may just make it more difficult to focus on the new concepts. If you understand the ideas in these simple models, you will also recognize them in more advanced models.

I used this book in my senior year in school. This book is no doubt the easiest Math book I have seen. If you don't want to take my word , try it yourself, you will be amazed how is the author uses same examples over and over again. Plus with all the nonsense examples and Questions this book is extremely expensive as compare to rest of the books in the market. I can confidently state that I have not learned a single new thing from this book. This book should be called "introduction to Algebra using same examples over and over again."

Comic genius

I don't laugh all that easily, but this book was just fun to read. Many times I laughed out loud. Several times I laughed until I cried. The plot at times verges on slapstick, but the real humor is in the little realistic details of the characters' personalities and the thoughts in their heads. The author simply has a hilarious way of expressing things. It was just the book to lift my spirits after the depressing one I read about a little boy growing up homeless in pre-revolutionary Iran. Sometimes you don't want a serious book. You want to relax. On the other hand, you don't want to read something stupid. Mad Love is intelligently funny, but not so intelligent that you have to think too hard. This was my first Nick Spalding book. It won't be the last.

Witty, intelligent and very very funny.

I am not a big fan of humor or comedy genre books but this one was a big exception. I love everything about it and enjoyed it a lot. The three main characters Adam Holborne, Jessica Madison and Cassie McFlasterton are just hilarious. The situations and the events the characters go through are pathetically funny.

The story is basically about this dating online website run by Cassie NcFlasterton which matches two persons together through an algorithm by computer, but the catch is that these strangers have to get married immediately in exchange of some benefits like a flat and other things. How can two total strangers cope with this situation? And were they really serious when they filled the application in the first place? That you need to read to know.
If this book did not make you laugh loudly, the least it will ensure there is a constant smile on your face while reading it. Reading this book is very much recommended specially if you need to read something light, funny but that is still filled with emotions.

I'm crazy about Nick Spalding's zany, fun, devil-may-care hilarity. The world has become a dark, scary, unhealthy place - any news report, any day of the week, every week, will justify that statement. Which is why we need more laughter. And Nick Spalding provides it - very well. Writing comedy is TOUGH, the hardest kind of writing there is.Hats off to Nick for keeping us healthier. Laughter is exercise for the organs. There are clubs devoted to either telling jokes or just sitting there laughing b/c it's contagious and so necessary - especially when everything surrounding us is doom, gloom - "You better," and "You have to, - or else." Thank God for all those who work so hard to bring much needed laughter into a time in history that is so dark.

Entire series great for reluctant readers

My son went through a phase where he read all of these books during his required 15 minute reading every day. He is not a reader and would rather do anything else, but this series held his interest long enough for him to fulfill his homework assignment for school. It helped that this series was a hit in his 3rd grade class amongst the boys, and he would trade them with his friends. The cover on these books always appeared scarier and much worse than what is actually written. My son was never scared about the content but was engaged in reading. I'd recommend these books for reluctant readers who are moving beyond picture books and into simple chapter books. I think ages 7-9 is the target audience.

Slappy new year

Hello guys so this book is mainly about a boy named ray Gordon and his brother Brandon they were invited to go to horrorland and thn they went to jonathon chillers gift shop and then ray see this dummy and jonathon told him about the legend if tht when you said the magic words the dummy will come to life of course ray I'd not believe that and his brother say no ray please don buy that and ray told him that you are such a scaredy cat .but ray bought it anyway then jonathon put it to come with the little horror and say bring a little horror home ith u when ray said Ho much will it costs jonathon say u can pay me next time when ray get home he read the word out loud of course he was kinda nervous but then bad mean spirited things keep happening to ray and his brother Brandon and slappy seem to be around for it then his parent keep blaming it on him one day they have enough f everything and told ray he couldn't have his new year party he nd his friends was really looking to this new year party the he tied to work hard and convinced his parents that he wouldn't get into trouble anymore the his parent let him but then slappy ruin everything again then later he realized that jonathon had said bring a little horror home with u when Ryan touch the horror i make him g back to horrorland he guessed that kpjonathon is making him pay now. I hope u guys enjoy my review about ths book i will try to get more review in please rate or me.

Not the Best, but it is nice to have Slappy back

While at Horrorland, Ray Gordon stops by the gift shop The Chiller House. He buys a wooden dummy named Slappy! His brother, Brandon, hates Slappy.

Ray returns home and begins planning his New Years Party that will take place in his basement. His parents promised he could have one as long as he is good to his little brother. However, strange things start happening to his little brother. Is Ray responsible or is Slappy alive?

Yes, the little mischievous Slappy is back. It seems that he cannot be destroyed. Slappy is one of my favorite characters from the Goosebumps series, and I am glad to see him back. The problem with the book is that it has the same basic plotlines from the previous Slappy books. Slappy use to be scary, but now he is a silly character that plays pranks on the kids. It is not the best book in the series, but it is still enjoyable to read.
